“Archibald Lox” is such a fast-paced story with many components that kept me glued to each book. Darren Shan filled each story with magic and fascinating characters. Taking place all over the globe (and other dimensions), you get to see everything through Archie’s eyes: London, New York, Russia and the Merge. The friendship between Inez and Archie is fascinating. I enjoy Inez as a character. She’s mission-oriented, and she knows what’s important. The character development with Archie is fantastic. I will say there were a few moments of frustration when Archie didn’t know a piece of information. Inez would often respond, “I’ll tell you later,” or “You’ll find out.” It keeps a bit of mystery, but there’s a part of me that wants to know now!
I was so invested since book 1 (which is currently free at the moment!) and the chapters go by so fast, before you know it… you’re in chapter 11! This is quickly becoming one of my favorite series, and I hope there’s more to come!
