It’s the year 1895, and two young women are throwing caution to the wind and thinking for themselves. They are extremely intelligent, capable, strong-willed, but mostly just downright infuriating… to a weaker man! These ladies are Henrietta Jones and her friend, Fonzie Jowels-Fink, and they are seeking an adventure of a lifetime… but first, we need them to save England!

Henrietta, affectionately known as Harry, has been training her whole life for this one case… she just doesn’t know it. Someone is murdering inventors and the reasoning is unknown. Lady Jones, Harry’s mother, has asked Harry and Fonzie to go to London, set up shop, and solve the case. All Harry wants to do is buy an automobile and red laced up boots! In the process of setting up shop, Harry meets the most infuriating man she has ever laid eyes on, Mr. Joshua Quinn, the American with a slightly crooked nose. Someone is killing off members of the elite Automobile Club, and Quinn is next on the list! Can Harry, along with her friends save Quinn and stop the destruction that would bring England to its knees?

I must admit, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with this one. The cover is stunning (yes, I do judge a book by its cover) and the synopsis was appealing. I just wasn’t sure what to make of it. After a few pages, I was hooked! Harry is such a strong, intelligent woman. She is an inventor, and one hell of a detective… when the need arises. Her banter with Quinn was quite entertaining. They kept each other on their toes, and it was fun to watch. Fonzie is also brilliant, but not well-bred according to society’s standards; which puts a chip on her shoulder. While it’s understandable, at times she was off-putting… especially in her interactions with Louis, who is madly in love with her. She sees him as this big oaf who needs protection, when in reality… he’s quite brilliant himself and is one of England’s top spies. What was even more interesting is the brilliant villain! It was like watching Sherlock go toe-to-toe with Moriarty. This was extremely well written and will hold your attention. There were a few minor issues, but I assume it’s down to the copy of the book I received. Overall, I thought this was quite witty, and thoroughly enjoyed Henrietta Jones and all of her antics!

I’m not even sure where to start! We finally get Luc’s story! And it all starts with a broken promise…

Evie Dasher is probably one of the best friends you can ever have. Not wanting to let her friend, Heidi, go clubbing alone. What she did not anticipate was the club getting raided and meeting Luc, the club owner. Evie can’t explain it, but she is drawn to Luc, not realizing there was something special about her. She makes all types of assumptions about Luc, some are close, but others are way more than even she can imagine. As she gets closer to Luc, danger lurks and she’s closer to finding out the truth. Is it a truth she can handle?

OMG… I loved this story! You get updates from some of your favorite characters of the Luxen series, kinda like a “Where are they now?” situation. Luc is an awesome character. He’s witty, highly intelligent, literally has the best collection of t-shirts, and has a depth to him you don’t get in previous books. It’s interesting how close to reality some of the actions in this story are. You get to meet some interesting characters and some you will just out and out hate. The story doesn’t end with a cliffhanger, but I can’t wait for book 2!

Being the face of Timber, the new, popular dating app, is a lot of pressure. Magnus Andersen is an absolutely gorgeous man who has everything, but love. He never imagined he would actually USE the app. He’s been a little scarred from his last relationship. Lucy, Avery’s older sister, is the epitome of scarred. The guy she thought she was building a life with, David, decided it wasn’t the life he wanted. After finding out she was pregnant, David takes off. Lucy has been everything to everyone, but now it’s about Lucy. She never thought she’d catch the eye of Magnus on Timber. Will the two of them find love or will this just be a fling?

This is another awesome book in this series. It was a nice continuation from Clipped. What was pretty cool about this one was there’s a scene towards the end of Clipped of Wes and Magnus (business rivals) interacting with each other. You see what happens before and after that scene from Lucy’s and Magnus’s point of view. Both characters are endearing. Lucy is a great mother and down-to-Earth. Magnus is surprisingly down-to-Earth as well and has a slight stutter; which is quite adorable. This is a great series, and I can’t wait to continue!

Save Infiniti, save the world… sort of. Infiniti is not your average teenager, actually… she is, but that’s about to change! She finds out the supernatural is real and her life is in danger. She finds allies in Havenwoods Fall, making temporary foes into allies to protect her. Can a transhuman, Fleet, and a teenage wolf shifter, Joe, band together in time to save Infiniti?

I thought this was absolutely adorable and a quick, fun read. This appears to be a series with multiple authors. The slightly confusing part is figuring out where this book falls in the series. Infiniti, Joe, and Fleet are all great characters. I do wish the story was a little longer, but I truly enjoyed this. I’ll have to find out where this falls in the series because I’m definitely intrigued and would love to see where this goes!

Sometimes, witnessing something you shouldn’t have it a bad thing. “Lucy” witnesses what she thought was a crime, and calls the police… not knowing who she was dealing with. The reputation of Asher Black DEFINITELY precedes him. Asher wants to know who called the police and he does just that. They both have pre-conceived notions of what the other person is like, and boy are they wrong! With Asher’s reputation of being associated with the mob, he is in danger of losing his company. He’s being made to look unstable because he’s unwed… this needs to be remedied immediately!

I thought this was a great start to a series. It’s listed as 300+ pages long, but they fly by! The interactions between Asher and Lucy are interesting. As the reader, you know Asher is dangerous, but you also can tell he will do anything for the people he loves. Lucy tends to run at the first sign of trouble… as one does growing up in the foster care system, but there’s something about Asher that keeps her from running. I enjoyed this one, and hopefully, I’ll enjoy the next one!

Fighting for Mr. Beautiful picks up, literally, where we left off. Elena saves Leo’s life, but it may be at the expense of her own. Waking up in a hospital with no recollection of how she got there or why she’s in Italy at all was jarring, to say the least for Leo. It means she doesn’t remember falling in love with him. Leo needs a plan and he needs one now! Good thing he’s prepared. He either needs to help her regain her memory or make her fall in love with him again! Easy, right?! Hold your horses! Everything you remember about Elena isn’t the “Elena” she knows. With the help of her friends, can Elena regain the happiness she once knew?

There were a few discrepancies in this one… it didn’t take away from the story, but it could make it hard to follow. There were moments I was absolutely in love with Leo. He was endearing and patient. He was understanding and dealing with a lot. He was fun, flirty, he was perfect. The hashtag usage after a while started to become too much. Not a deal breaker, but it felt like there was #this or #that on every page. With that being said, I devoured this story in one sitting. I read this entire series in one night. I think this could have been flushed out a bit, but that could just be me trying to get a third book out of this series!

What do you do when you come home a little earlier than expected and you walk in on your boyfriend sleeping with his secretary? Get a fresh start… in Italy! That is exactly what CEO of a multimedia company, Elena Scott does. No return trip plane ticket. A fresh break is what the doctor ordered. While working as a barista, Elena meets Italy’s most eligible bachelor and billionaire, Leonardo Forte. He’s immediately taken with her. The problem is he doesn’t do relationships. He doesn’t believe he’s capable of loving anyone. Just think of what can happen if you can convince him he’s capable of loving and so much more… maybe, just maybe, he can show you how to live… I mean, truly live!

I honestly don’t know where to start, other than there’s a stalker… I don’t mean in just the book… I think I’m going to start stalking Caterina! I finished this in one sitting. I couldn’t get enough. Don’t get me wrong, there were moments of frustration and moments of anger, just from sheer misunderstandings… but I enjoyed this! Elena frustrated me with how she handled who she was. I get wanting to be anonymous, but after deciding you were going to start a relationship with someone… the least you can do is be honest. There were some characters written for you to purely hate them, and you will. The flip side is there are some really awesome characters to balance it out. The people who have become friends to Elena are TRUE friends. It will be interesting to see how the rest of this plays out due to this story ending in a cliffhanger. BUT… if you have a solid 90 minutes (at most), you’ll finish this in one sitting, and immediately move on the next one!
