This was quite the bounce-back for me with Samantha Chase. Although I had not read the first book of this series, I enjoyed it.
I thoroughly loved Reid, but I felt hot and cold about Ashlynn. Reid was an absolute sweetheart, and I enjoyed every time he was in the scene. Lately, I’ve had a string of stories where I loved the male main character and was just meh about the female.
The plot was well done and will keep you interested in the story. The conflict was a bit annoying but not a game-breaker. I would recommend reading this series in order. You would still be able to follow the story, but there will be characters that you’ll be introduced to; however, your first introduction to them will be from different books.
Overall, this was quite enjoyable.
