I finished this story a few days ago and my mind is still trying to process everything! Ash doesn’t people well, which is why she prefers science to people: People lie, numbers don’t. This entire time she thought she was working for the good guys, but just imagine finding out, not only do you work for the bad guys… you have two mates… and they’re right in front of you… in a rescue mission! Twin brothers, Russ and Dunn, have always grown up thinking they weren’t meant to have a mate because it would kill the mate. Imagine their shock when the person they needed most happens to be the scientist they are rescuing to save to the universe! I thought the first book was great, but this book is fantastic! There was humor (who doesn’t love nerd humor?!), romance, betrayal, and discovery. Gwen Cross was amazing as the narrator, bringing each character to life while reminding you of characters from the previous book. This book was absolutely fantastic and I’m glad I got the chance to read it! I can’t wait to read the next book!

This is the second book I’ve listened to by Aidy Award and I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Angelina is a wealthy young woman who found her fiance cheating with her best friend. She thinks she has come up with the perfect solution but may have gotten more than she bargained for! Gray had been hired by her dad as a bodyguard. She has flirted with Gray for quite some time, but he never gave any hint of whether or not the flirting would be well received. Unbeknownst to her… they would be if she wasn’t in a relationship.¬†Gray desired Angelina from the moment he saw her. However, with her being a relationship with her douchebag of a fiance complicated matters.

There was humor, there was sex… a lot of sex, but well written. Angelina was a bit wishy-washy for me, but I was in love with Gray. He’s protective and loving and just an all around great guy. He’s the type of guy who should get the girl. Lacy Laurel’s narration brought the story to life with humor and personality. This story does end in a cliffhanger, but it sets up book 2 perfectly.

A Touch of Fate had me laughing out loud one moment, and balling my eyes out the next. Kady was just trying to get her truck to start when all of a sudden an alien spaceship crashes into her property. Who knew that alien spaceship carried her fated mate?! Who knew she was even a witch?! She didn’t! When the Men In Black come sniffing around, will she protect the alien, Black? Or will she turn him into the government? Are they even the truly government? When things take a turn for the worst, can Kady save them both?

The story and the narration were absolute perfection. Each character was unique and distinct. Gwen Cross was brilliant. Her southern accent was on point. The personality she attached to each character left me wanting to know what happens next to each character. This was brilliantly done and I loved the excerpt of Book 2 at the end left me wanting to get my hands on the next installment!
