My thoughts: I didn’t realize this was what I needed until I finished the book just now. It was just the book I needed to get me out of my reading slump. I was worried that the pacing of the book would be disjointed, but I have to say… it was a fast-paced book that had me glued to the pages. The chemistry between Breena and Egan was palpable. Cordon does a phenomenal job of creating multi-dimensional characters and world-building. I’m here for the steam factor, that was extremely well done. I can absolutely see this being a movie or a series on HBO or Starz. This was a phenomenal debut. Cordon’s future looks bright, and I want to read about every step of it!

Roma Cordon was introduced to romance novels in her teenage years and instantly became a voracious reader of the genre. In the 1990s, she came to live in New York where she earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees. After taking a writing course at New York University with Anne Rice, she dived into the world of writing while testing the waters at public speaking at her local Toastmasters club.
