I’m not even sure where to start with my emotions! Imagine reading a paranormal series and falling in love with it. You meet the author, get invited to a party she’s throwing, and you find out… the series is real, based on real people who are actual shifters! Imagine finding out there is a pack war… and you play a significant role. This is Ariane’s reality… and it’s about to get complicated.

Ari isn’t precisely the popular girl at school. She has two friends, Paige and Bray, who attends the party with her. As Ari is dancing with Orion, a guy she just met, sparks fly, and their world is never the same again. A rival pack wants to dominate the state, but the Avynwood pack is nothing to sneeze at! As the potential catalyst to a pack war, can Ariane put a stop to this war before it can start? Or will things take a turn for the worst?

I was so engrossed in this story. Orion does come off a little pushy in the beginning, but I adored him. There were moments when I felt for Ari. To be thrust into a world you didn’t know existed is a lot to take on when you’re just trying to get through high school. Not every page had action, but it did set up the next book. The ending of this story had me in my feelings. My mind is still reeling. I enjoyed this!
