Wade Carter, former quarterback of the Broncos needed an assistant who was tough and can stand up to him when needed. For five years, he’s had that in CC. Cecelia Morgan, PA to Wade, has put up with a lot from her boss, but she’s been saving to retire early… but Wade calls an audible. CC and Wade travel back to his hometown and lines get blurred and crossed, and it was so good. Wade, at times, was a bit of a handful, but there was no one better equipped to deal with Wade than CC. She was tough and genuine and witty. The secondary characters were great and added depth to Wade and CC. Their chemistry was off the charts. I’m so glad I was approved for this ARC. It was a fantastic read, and I look forward to reading more from Amy Andrews!
