DAUGHTER OF DESTINY was not what I expected! I know there are other stories about Guinevere, but this is the first one to pique my interest. This is about an adolescent Guinevere before King Arthur.

While I found it was a good read, the first half gives a lot of information that will be useful as the story continues… but it could be considered too much information at one time. It makes the story seem longer than it really and it reads slow. Once you get past 35% to 40% of the book, however, you are hooked! The characters get much, much more interesting and so will the relationships.

In the beginning Guinevere seemed to be a bit of a whiner, but as the story progresses she matures to what you would imagine of a queen. It was astonishing to see her growth, even through heartbreak. This was quite the page turner!

I would recommend DAUGHTER OF DESTINY to anyone who loves romance, history, and legends!
